This mosaic was commissioned by the District Council of Kingston with a substantial amount of the funding coming from the Kingston CWA.
The design shows various activities carried out by the Kingston CWA during its 80 years of operation. While the CWA is still going strong, the Kingston branch was unable to continue and the remaining members decided to put the funds they still had towards a mosaic commemorating their organisation.
I mentored local artist Katherine Lisk and together we designed the mosaic in July 2020 and installed it in November 2021. A small but dedicated group of local volunteers cut the tiles and helped with the installation.
