Once again I’m back in Thevenard working with Chris Gascoyne! These two mosaics are located in a park in Thevenard, on the wall of a netball court.
One design features the blue swimmer crab and the other depicts a story about how indigenous people would add particular berries to the water in rockpools, to stun fish so they could be easily caught.
Chris and her crew cut the tiles out the back of Chris’ house and, as usual, got the work done in good time. I’m always impressed by the dedication of local volunteers who wish to enhance their local environment with projects like this one.
I designed the mosaics in September 2020 and installed them in February 2021.
